Cat Treat Packaging

Developed two cat food packaging concepts designed for different market tiers: high-tier and mid-tier consumers. The project reimagines traditional pet food packaging by introducing playful, character-driven visuals to bring personality to an everyday product, while still aligning with the expectations of each target audience.

Premium products tend to lean towards a more minimalistic look and feel, so the biggest challenge for me was how to make a package playful, while keeping a sleek and minimal look and feel.

High-Tier Consumer
A packaging concept designed for high-tier consumers. The design features a cat silhouette as the central visual, paired with the playful custom brand name Catch of the Day, referencing cats hunting behavior to “catch” their food. I chose a black cat as the main body color will stand out on the shelf.

Distinct color accents on the “caught fish” also represent different flavors, making each variety easy to identify on the shelf while maintaining a cohesive, premium look.

Mid-Tier Consumer

This concept keeps a more traditional package structure to help maintain lower production costs. Brighter colors and playful patterns bring energy to the design, while illustrated cat faces and color variations help clearly distinguish each flavor on the shelf.
